Farmers Branch had an aging pool that no longer adequately served the changing needs of the community, and there had been discussions for years about building a new pool or aquatics center. To better serve senior residents, as well as families with children, an outdoor water park was built on the existing pool site, complemented by a new indoor natatorium.

The Margaret Young Natatorium provides aquatic fitness and therapy classes, as well as year-round swim lessons and pool parties. The natatorium houses a four-lane, 25-yard lap pool and a therapy pool. The facility also hosts American Red Cross training courses and special events throughout the year.

The Frog Pond, a state-of-the-art outdoor water park, provides an exciting aquatic destination for residents and surrounding communities and includes amenities for users of all ages: a 500-foot lazy river, a lagoon pool, water features for younger children and four water slides, as well as seating areas. A large green frog that sat at the community’s previous pool has also found a new home at the water park.
