As athletics programs at colleges across the country return to practices, student-athletes are starting to test positive for coronavirus.

From Auburn University to the University of Alabama, dozens of athletes have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a new report from CNN

The news comes just weeks after the NCAA began allowing voluntary athletics activities at Division I colleges.

"We continue to acknowledge the ongoing uncertainty about the spread of the virus and the different actions and approaches states are taking to address it may cause modifications to be made to the playing and practice seasons and the championships as matters progress," Lynda Tealer, Division I Competition Oversight Committee chair said in a release.

CNN published a list of schools that have had athletes test positive recently, including Arkansas State (3 positive tests), Auburn University (3), Florida State University (3), Iowa State University (1), Marshall University (multiple), Oklahoma State University (3), Texas Tech (multiple), University of Alabama (3), University of Central Florida (3) and University of Iowa (1).
