Major League Baseball's Detroit Tigers will have to make some repairs to Comerica Park when they return home from their current road trip.
According to the Detroit Free Press, a man took a sledge hammer to the stadium Sunday night, damaging a door and smashing a number of windows.
Police responded to a call around 2:30 a.m. and interviewed a security guard who discovered the damage. The security guard said the suspect used a sledgehammer to smash two doors and a window at The D Shop, a gift shop at the ballpark’s front entrance. Two doors were also damaged at The Corner Tap Room. The man fled the scene on foot.
The Tigers happen to be wrapping up a West Coast road trip this week.
