The University of Kentucky baseball team got its first look at its new home this week. Work on the $50 million stadium is still ongoing, but the team got a chance to check out its new locker room for the first time. Infrastructure work has begun on new facility projects at the University of Connecticut. Crews began work to accommodate water and electric lines to a new βAthletics District,β which will include new stadiums for the schoolβs baseball, soccer and softball programs. The work represents the first step in what will be a continuing process. The soccer stadium will break ground after the conclusion of the regular season, while the baseball and softball stadiums will each be demolished at the conclusion of each teamβs season. β TheUConnBlog.com
The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff unveil new stadium renovations this week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Simmons Bank Field. Among the upgrades are a new turf field and a new scoreboard. The Golden Lions will play their first game in the upgraded facility tomorrow. β NWAonline.com

Weber State University began construction on a new multi-use athletic facility. The 27,000-square-foot building will house strength and conditioning facilities and a team meeting room that will be available to all of the schoolβs athletes. In addition, it will feature new football locker rooms, coachesβ offices, and an equipment room. A public groundbreaking ceremony will be held in September. β The Standard-Examiner
