Mississippi State University announced that it would partner with Dale Partners Architects and AECOM Sports to renovate Humphrey Coliseum. Lambton College in Ontario last week unveiled its new Athletic and Fitness Complex. A project by architects Tillman Ruth Robinson, the new facility features a double gymnasium, weight and cardio areas, a mulltipurpose room and classrooms. The $36 million (Canadian) project is the first major expansion project at Lambton in more than 25 years. — Press Release
The board of regents at Stephen F. Austin State University approved a plan to build a new basketball practice facility this week. According to AD Ryan Ivey, the new facility will feature a court and a half, locker rooms, coaches offices, training space and a new weight room. The expected cost of the project is $26 million. — KTRE
Baylor University recently revealed new details about its athletics master plan. The school has plans to develop a new fieldhouse, construct a new football operations center, and construct a practice facility for the school’s volleyball and acrobatics and tumbling teams. — Baylor.edu

The city of Grand Prairie, Texas, is almost ready to open The Epic, a new 120,000-square-foot fitness and recreation center. The facility will feature a $1 million workout facility with cardio and strength training equipment, indoor tracks, a high-intensity workout room, a yoga studio, an athletic court with spectator seating, a pool with lap lanes, a resistance training “vortex” pool, a splash play area and more. The University of Dayton is unveiling phase two of its planned three-phase Arena Transformation project this week, with exhibition games for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs. Among the phase two improvements fans can expect to see this year at UD Arena are improved Wi-Fi, new entrances, a new ticket office, new seats in the 300 and 400 levels on the arena’s east side, and an expanded walkway and concourse.
