The Cleveland City Council has approved a major donation from the Cleveland Indians, which will be allocated to improve local baseball fields.

According to the Cleveland NBC affiliate, the Indians organization donated $2 million to facilitate the installation of a synthetic turf baseball field at Luke Easter Park and League Park. In addition, the Indians’ charitable organization is funding $1.5 million in improvements to Brookside Park baseball fields.

The donations come as Cleveland is set to host the 90th Major League Baseball All-Star Game in July.

The City of Cleveland has also donated $520,000 to the projects.
