Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, is set to receive its first major renovation in more than a decade. Planned improvements call for a new scoreboard, waterproofing areas of the upper deck, and replacing upper bowl seats. Vallejo (Calif.) High School unveiled its new Mark Muñoz Performance Athletic Center. Named for former UFC fighter and Vallejo alum Mark Muñoz, the 3,000-square-foot facility features athletic and weight training equipment, a turf field and audio visual equipment. A mural dedicated to other Vallejo alums, including CC Sabathia, Augie Garrido, Brandon Armstrong and Mike Merriweather adorns a wall, with the message “Grind for Greatness.” — Times Herald
Washington State University is moving forward with a $10 million baseball facility project, following approval from the school’s board of regents. The school will make renovations to Bailey-Brayton Field, and construct a baseball clubhouse with a locker room, coaches offices, team meeting rooms, a players lounge and more. The project is expected to break ground this summer, with completion slated for the 2021 season. — Spokesman-Review

The University of Texas’ UFCU Disch-Falk Field is getting a few cosmetic upgrades ahead of the upcoming season. The renovations include replacing the outfield scoreboard with a new video board, as well as renovations to the home team bullpen. However, the team’s indoor facility, which was originally set to open this spring, will remain under construction throughout the 2019 season, as construction was delayed. — Hookem.com
