Virginia Tech continued its tradition of showcasing one of its less attended sports in an innovative venue last Friday night.
In what was a non-traditional setting for a wrestling match, the No. 14 Hokies improved to 8-1 at the Moss Arts Center with a 30-6 victory in a dual meet against No. 22 Virginia.
“It’s always awesome coming here,” Zack Zavatsky told the Virginia Tech Insider. “It feels like the fans are right in front of you, and it gets loud. It was good to try to put on a show for everybody, and I think we fed off the energy.”
The Hoakies competed in the Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre in the Street and Davis Performance Hall.
Virginia Tech has hosted one or two matches at the Moss Arts Center since it was built in 2011.
