Carolina Panthers Survey Fans on Stadium Upgrades

Under new ownership, the Carolina Panthers are making all kinds of changes, including a number of tweaks to the types of events being held at Bank of America Stadium, as well as a number of concessions and amenity upgrades.

On Wednesday, the Panthers sent an email to a select group of fans, gauging their interest in various enhancements to the stadium, including:

  • Party decks in the northeast and southeast corners of the upper deck similar to those in Dallas, San Francisco and other stadiums around the NFL. They also gauged the interest in an all-inclusive food and drink package and what pricing would be palatable to fans, offering choices of $150, $200 or $250.
  • Membership Clubs, that would be in addition to tickets purchased, which would feature climate control, private entrances, members-only restrooms, upgraded food and beverages and televisions.
  • Field-level suites and small group seating.
  • Press-level suites and small group seating.
  • Tailgates inside of the newly built practice bubble such as those offered in San Francisco and Houston.
  • A high-end “Carolina Club” that would allow Panthers fans to get together and discuss their favorite team over luxury food and drinks.

According to The Riot Report, team president Tom Glick announced in Feburary that the team was raising certain ticket prices and investing in infrastructure for the team, including a new practice facility called The Bubble.

“Delivering a climate controlled environment for our players and coaches, whenever we have adverse weather conditions, has been a priority for us, and we are pleased to introduce it in 2019,” wrote Glick. “The Bubble is our first of several planned infrastructure projects and will be followed by enhancements to Bank of America Stadium and a new permanent practice facility and campus in the future."

Bank of America Stadium was built in 1996. It’s one of the ten oldest stadiums in the NFL and has undergone renovations from 2013 through 2017 that included a new look for multiple concourses, improved Wi-Fi and cell service, new video boards and new escalators.
