Oregon State athletics has a number of facility projects slated for this summer, including a complete remodel of the P. Wayne Valley Sports Performance Center (SPC), which serves as the weight room facility for football and other sports.
According to OregonLive.com, the remodel will include new weight room equipment rebranding, lighting, floors and Gatorade station.

The new weight room is entirely financed by funds from anonymous donors.
“It had become outdated and a bit antiquated,” said Scott Barnes OSU athletic director. “It was not quite as effective for a facility that oversees 500 student-athletes. From a recruiting perspective, it’s nice to be able to show off a state-of-the-art facility.
Barnes said the new facility will be a “game changer.”
Head football coach Jonathan Smith said the upgraded facility represents a “huge piece of our ability to recruit young men who will make a difference on the field and for our current team members to develop physically.”
The project is expected to begin in early summer and will take about four months to complete.
This summer OSU will also upgrade the Valley Football Center Hall of Fame with various enhancements ($750,000), build a new women’s basketball locker room ($2.3 million), and update the entrance of Gill Coliseum ($750,000).
