A new pickleball-focused facility is planned to open later this year in Lexington, S.C.
The PickleGarden on the River development will include 12 spacious pickleball courts, 10,000 square feet of turf and biergarten space, 2,240 square feet of mixed-use space to be utilized as a members lounge or event space, a 3,600-square-foot, climate-controlled indoor/outdoor space overlooking the venue, and access to the Riverwalk on the Lower Saluda River.
The facility is planned to be in operation by the end of 2024.
The proprietors announced the facility in January and are in the “fundraising financing” stage of the project and working with local investors. [The Columbia Star, Lexington Chronicle]
A new multipurpose arena has opened this month in Springfield, Mo. The Wilson Logistics Arena & Youth Ag Facility held a grand opening celebration Jan. 11.
The new arena, operated by the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, features 6,300 seats, a VIP mezzanine level, a bar and grill and multiple concession stands.
The venue will host events from concerts, motocross races, sports competitions, trade shows, business expos and private events. [KYTV]
