Bellevue University in Nebraska has started work on a $30 million athletic facility.
The 72,000-square-foot athletic center will have practice and competition courts for basketball and volleyball. It will replace the current gym and weight room on campus, which are in separate buildings and tight on space.
An $11.8 million gymnasium project is nearing completion in at a school in Seneca, Ill.
Construction of the 28,000-square-foot facility has been underway since March 2023. The project is in its final stages of work, and the most recent update from the school said that athletic and sporting equipment has been delivered and is being put in, along with a TouchPro SHS history TV and other electronics installation and final exterior installations.
The project is on schedule for a late March or early April community ribbon-cutting ceremony, according to the school website. The school plans to host graduation in the new gym this year.
