The weight room will feature PLAE Achieve flooring comprised of innovative underlayment delivering optimal shock absorption and explosive energy return.

In addition to the flooring, PLAE will also be the equipment provider building 16 custom ICONx racks that are engineered for performance. Upon completion, ISU will boast the only weight room in the Big Sky Conference fully furnished with PLAE flooring and gear, placing ISU amongst the likes of top FBS institutions and professional organizations.

In Richmond, Va., developers have completed a schematic design for a Minor League Baseball ballpark at the Diamond District, the first step toward building a stadium.

The stadium, which will be built next to The Diamond, is expected to cost $110 million or more. The entire 68-acre project is expected to fetch $2.4 billion.

The agreement between the city of Richmond, the city’s Economic Development Authority and developer RVA Diamond Partners calls for a capacity of at least 9,000 spectators.

The facility will have separate clubhouses for the Richmond Flying Squirrels and Virginia Commonwealth University‘s baseball team, which will also play there.

Odell, a national design and engineering firm with a Richmond office, is drawing the plans for the ballpark. Machete Group, a sports and real estate advisory firm, is the project manager.

Construction on the ballpark is expected to begin first, with work on the residences to commence quickly thereafter. The city is working to meet a deadline set by Major League Baseball that requires the stadium open by the beginning of the 2026 season.

  • A Wisconsin high school is planning a new athletic facility, which will cost around $9 million and will be completed in October. Manitowoc Lutheran High School currently only has one gym and plenty of teams that need to practice. Some teams don't end practice until around 8 o'clock. The new gym cost will be covered by outside donations.
