The MLB's Los Angeles Dodgers broke ground Monday on a 190-acre athletic complex in Ontario, Calif., which will feature a professional baseball stadium that will serve as the home of the new Dodgers Class-A franchise.
The Quakes, the Dodgers' Single-A Minor League team, currently plays at LoanMart Field at 8408 Rochester Ave. in Rancho Cucamonga.
In 2025, the team’s contract with Rancho Cucamonga will expire, and the team will move to the new 8,000-seat baseball stadium at the Ontario Sports Empire in 2026.
Meanwhile, Ontario Professional Baseball LLC. President Brent Miles and his team announced that they are inviting the community to help name the newest addition to Ontario’s sports scene.

Home base for the Hudson County Community College's new athletics department will be the under-construction Center for Student Success, at 2 Enos Place in Jersey City, a former parking lot.
The 11-story, 165,000-square-foot building will include a gymnasium and an indoor track, both built to NCAA specifications, as well as a weight room, Chiaravalloti said.
The building, a one-stop center for student services, will also include a black box theater and 24 classrooms. County officials broke ground on the project over the summer. [NJ.com]
The renovation of the aquatics area of Harney Sports Complex was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 31, 2024, in the complex’s main lobby at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
The area received a facelift, as well as a complete overhaul of major systems.
