Another multi-million dollar project is underway at Texas A&M University in Texarkana.

“Here at A&M University Texarkana, we think big, dream big and do big,” said TAMUT President Dr. Ross Alexander.

University and community leaders held a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 20 to officially begin construction on the Red River Credit Union Athletic Complex.

“With this groundbreaking, we are putting this university on the map not just for athletics but the opportunity for growth and success,” said Jay Davis.

With Red River Credit Union taking the lead, the community has raised over $13 million to get this project going. This new complex will allow the university’s baseball, softball, and tennis teams to host competitions on the campus. [KSLA]

The Temple University tennis programs will celebrate an historic moment on Friday, March 28 with the grand opening of a brand-new, on-campus tennis complex.

The highly anticipated event will be held prior to the tennis doubleheader against Siena, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

"We are thrilled to open our new tennis courts, which not only elevate our program but also enhance the experience for both our players and fans," said Jeff Brandes, Temple's Director of Tennis. "With the ability to stream our matches live on ESPN+, we're bringing the excitement of college tennis to a broader audience while giving our athletes a platform to showcase their talents at the highest level."

The addition of the complex marks a new era for the program, offering top-of-the-line courts, enhanced spectator seating, and upgraded amenities that will benefit both players and fans alike.
