Dunlap High School broke ground Wednesday on its new $8.5 million athletic training center.
The 42,500-square-foot facility will include a 165-meter indoor track, a dance studio, three courts, and training rooms for student-athletes. The training center is expected to serve 5,000 students and the Dunlap community.
Plans for the training center have been on the drawing board since before the pandemic began. Once the pandemic subsided, the Dunlap school board launched into a year-long, detailed planning mode. [WMBD]
The Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C., will reveal its comprehensive master plan this week, featuring new designs and expanded spaces.
General Manager Beth Paul spoke with Destiny Chance during a "4 The Record" episode airing later this month and provided an exclusive preview.
"Well, it's going to be fabulous. The design team did a remarkable job in putting together an arena that our whole community can be proud of. There will be new square footage. So it should be bigger and more space, little more elbow room on the concourse. There will be some green space and some new outdoor space that will be prime for new entertainment in Greenville," Paul said. [WYFF]
Construction is “formally underway” for the new stadium Fort Wayne FC will call home in 2026.
Located at Bass Road and I-69, the stadium will be privately funded and be the largest outdoor stadium in northeast Indiana, according to the team.
“These are exciting early steps in preparing the site for our new stadium,” said Fort Wayne FC Chief Operations Officer Scott Sproat. “We will release more details in the weeks to come, but we’re on schedule to realize our plans and progress toward the future vision of Fort Wayne FC hosting professional soccer in 2026.” [WANE]
