A Virginia Beach business owner, Coleman Ferguson, has launched an effort called the Virginia Beach Arena Project. He submitted a proposal to city leaders on Monday morning in an attempt to bring a professional sports franchise to the Oceanfront.
Is his plan realistic?

Cosm Plans Immersive Sports and Entertainment Venue for Cleveland
An immersive sports and entertainment venue is on tap for Downtown Cleveland as the anchor tenant for a major project just north of Rocket Arena.
Cosm, a technology and entertainment company based in California, plans to open the venue at East Fourth Street and Huron Road. The complex will include a planetarium-like dome where patrons can watch live sports and performances, from pro football and mixed martial arts to horse racing and Cirque du Soleil.
Paradise Coast Sports Complex Proposes $130M Expansion Plan
Collier County Commissioners approved a sports tourism impact study Tuesday, which includes looking at expanding the Paradise Coast Sports Complex.
The complex is filled with sports fields; however, it does not have fields for softball and baseball. Adrian Moses, the Paradise Coast Sports Complex general manager, said if the complex had these fields, it would be able to fill them with visitors to support Collier County’s tourism industry.
