Buford High School's $62M Football Stadium Finally Open
The Buford (GA) Wolves are ready to make their grand entrance for the 2025 football season and what better way to open up the season than with a brand new $62-million dollar stadium, not to mention an appearance on Primetime ESPN high school football.
Since Buford announced the new Phillip Beard Stadium was under construction, fans have been on the edge of our seats waiting to see what the new gridiron would look like. The Peach State Reality had given us glimpses of the renovation since October of 2024. Now that Phillip Beard Stadium is complete and open, after its ribbon cutting today, according to Buford Football's Instagram, the anticipation is over and the Wolves will be ready for the new era to begin this fall.
Northern Bedford County Opens $1M Weight Room
Northern Bedford County has fielded one of the top high school football programs at the Class 1A level in the state of Pennsylvania over the last few years, and the school now has a training facility to match that.
Thanks in part to funding from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund for wellness that was issued to schools to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education, NBC now has a new $1 million weight room that will not just benefit the football team, but the entire student body.
Groundbreaking Announced for Manitowoc Baseball Field Renovation
A major renovation project at a Manitowoc baseball field is set to begin next week.
Manitowoc Lincoln High School Athletic Director Stan Dietrich has announced that, at 10:00 a.m. next Wednesday (July 30th), a groundbreaking ceremony will be held at Bruce Steinbecker Field, formerly known as Municipal Field.
The massive project was spearheaded by the Ships baseball program, which raised $300,000, and was supplemented by $900,000 from the Manitowoc Public School District.
