Over the last 20 months, construction crews have turned a cornfield into a coliseum that’s expected to have a major impact on the Hamilton County economy.
Inside Indiana Business got a first look inside The Arena at Innovation Mile last week.
The $93 million venue will be home to the Indiana Pacers’ G League team, the Noblesville Boom. The arena can host nearly 3,500 basketball fans, with capacity for concerts growing to about 5,000. A parking garage is also connected to the venue.
When people walk in “it’s a lot of smiles, a lot of jaw dropping. People are excited about it. It’s really an asset for the community,” General Manager Justin Jordan said. “The building was designed to host multiple events—concerts to comedy to dances and graduations, but basketball was really the test case.”
