Detroit City FC Releases New Details on Corktown Stadium
AlumniFi Field will be the name of the future Detroit City FC soccer stadium planned for Detroit's Corktown neighborhood.
The Detroit City FC revealed the name and a new set of renderings for the $150 million and 15,000-capacity stadium on Monday night, Aug. 11.
AlumniFi is a brand created by the MSU Federal Credit Union to appeal to young adults. Terms of the stadium naming rights deal weren't disclosed.
Ottawa Senators Purchase Land for New Stadium
The Ottawa Senators are one step closer to having a new arena in the city's downtown core.
The Senators and the National Capital Commission have agreed on the sale of 4.5 hectares (11 acres) of land at LeBreton Flats for the project.
The agreement of purchase and sale with Capital Sports Development Inc., the team’s development arm, follows a deal reached with the NCC last September for a development that includes a new arena. It will allow zoning, design and approvals to proceed, along with decontamination of the site to prepare for construction.
Take a Look at the Clinton Heacock Stadium Renovation
Phase 1 of its upgrade project is complete. West Branch High School finished its upgrade project to 5,200-seat Clinton Heacock Stadium, pictured above, last week.
The upgrades to the facility include new FieldTurf, Musco LED stadium lights, new reserved seat chair backs, new goal posts and a new school banner in front of the press box. The Vasco Group was hired to install the FieldTurf.
West Branch will play its first varsity home football game on its new FieldTurf when it hosts New Philadelphia in Week II of the season on Friday night, August 29th.
