There’s snow on the ground in Fort Worth, but this time it’s not shutting the city down. Instead, it’s tucked away inside the TCU Horned Frogs newest investment in player performance — the first snow room in college football.
Part of a massive $50 million renovation to the Simpson Family Restoration and Wellness Center, the snow room is more than just a headline-grabber.
It’s a fully climate-controlled chamber set at near-freezing temperatures, complete with falling flurries under purple lights. The goal is to aid player recovery, reducing inflammation and helping athletes bounce back faster during the grind of the season.
