University of North Dakota Cuts Ribbon on Sports Performance Center
Two years after breaking ground, an addition to the University of North Dakota’s Fritz Pollard Athletic Center is being touted by UND's athletic director as one of the top training facilities in the country.
Bill Chaves said the weight room, where a grand opening and ribbon cutting was held for the Nodak Insurance Company Sports Performance Center, is the largest in the Dakotas.
Michigan Community Breaks Ground on $8.9M Indoor Athletics Facility
A large, indoor athletic facility is being built in a West Michigan farming community, gearing up to serve families locally and from surrounding counties.
The Tiger Athletic Community Center, aptly named after the Shelby Township High School Tigers, is meant to fill a need for people in rural communities that have to drive far in the winter for indoor athletics.
The 65,000-square-foot indoor sports and community facility is under construction and is expected to be open by late February 2026. It is directly adjacent to the new Shelby Township Community Park.
Archbishop Moeller High School Funnels Donation Into New Baseball Stadium
A donation from one of the most well-known orthopedic surgeons in the region will help Archbishop Moeller High School construct a new baseball stadium.
The school announced Friday that Dr. Timothy Kremchek gave a “transformative gift” to Moeller, funding a new stadium at the Bucher Athletic Complex.
The stadium, set to be named in honor of Dr. Kremchek and his family, will have seating for more than 300 fans, new press and broadcasting capabilities, upgraded locker rooms and enhanced training facilities.
