A joint venture of Clark Construction and D.A. Everett Construction will lead the $800 million renovation of Bank of America Stadium, according to a press release shared with Construction Dive. Work to upgrade the NFL’s Carolina Panthers home stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, will begin in 2026, team owner Tepper Sports & Entertainment announced Oct. 30.
In addition to the stadium renovation, an indoor field house will be constructed on the team’s existing, 9-acre practice field near the stadium.
University of Florida Completes New Locker Rooms at UNF Arena
North Florida Athletics has completed a transformative renovation of UNF Arena – continuing to enhance the locker rooms and team spaces into premier venues for its men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball programs.
“The unveiling of these arena locker rooms is a proud moment for UNF Athletics and our university community,” North Florida Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Nick Morrow said. “This achievement reflects not only our commitment to excellence, but also the generosity of our donors and supporters, whose belief in our mission makes milestones like this possible. These enhanced facilities will serve as a foundation for building champions on the court, in the classroom and in life. Together, we are creating an environment that inspires success in every aspect of the student-athlete experience.”
Morrow is grateful for the continued investment from donors and administrators to ensure UNF basketball and volleyball are set up for success now and in the seasons ahead.
What Mexico City's Azteca Stadium Will Look Like for 2026 World Cup
Mexico City's Azteca Stadium is a 15-kilometer journey from the Zócalo—more or less the center of the metropolis of 18 million inhabitants. The drive can take the 18 minutes predicted by Google Maps, but it can easily exceed an hour if you happen to be in the middle of what my driver calls “the peak,” the time when the city's perpetual swarm of cars swells to bursting.
The first feeling on seeing the Coloso de Santa Úrsula— the nickname given to the stadium where both Pelé and Maradona played legendary games—is that of being in a place suspended between past and future. The venue's seemingly immobile dinosaur skeleton exterior hides a vast work in progress as the whole stadium is being modernized for 2026 World Cup.
On March 26, 2026, a friendly match between Mexico and Portugal will serve as a dress rehearsal for the June 11 inaugural ceremony and subsequent first World Cup match.
