
University of the Pacific Unveils New Student-Athlete and Sports Medicine Center
University of the Pacific has officially broken ground on a new Student-Athlete and Sports Medicine Center on its Stockton campus, marking a major investment in the health, wellness, and success of its nearly 400 Division I athletes.
The 15,682-square-foot facility will house treatment and rehabilitation areas, a therapy pool, hot and cold tubs, a sports therapist’s office focused on physical and mental health, and a dedicated functional training space.
EKU Unveils Renovated Baptist Health Arena
It’s the start of a new era at Eastern Kentucky University with the completion of renovations at Baptist Health Arena at Alumni Coliseum.
Work has been underway on the facility for over a year to improve the athlete, fan and community experience. The finished product was unveiled with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“Alumni Coliseum has endured for 62 years. This is an iconic place for which students enter this great institution,” said EKU President David McFaddin.
The City of Winterset Unveils Plans for New Winterset Fieldhouse
The city of Winterset is set to fulfill a longstanding community priority, announcing plans for the Winterset Fieldhouse.
It's a 47,000-square-foot indoor recreation center that will also house a 5,000-square-foot space for the Winterset Police Department.
The new complex will be located on city-owned property east of town, directly across from the Martin Marietta Softball and Soccer Complex.
For over 25 years, Winterset residents have been hopeful for an indoor recreation facility as a top community priority.
The $20 million project includes basketball and pickleball courts, a fitness studio, walking track, climbing wall, and more. The city has secured $16 million in funding and is launching a campaign to raise the remaining $4 million.
