Michigan State Announces $1B Facilities Initiative 

Michigan State announced on Tuesday that they are launching a new $1 billion initiative dubbed FOR SPARTA to elevate facilities, enhance the student-athlete experience and "secure Michigan State's position as a leader in college athletics." The initiative was formerly announced via a social media post and press release from the school on Tuesday.

“FOR SPARTA sets a bold course for the future of Michigan State Athletics,” MSU President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D. said in a press release. “By investing in world-class facilities and experiences for our student-athletes, we are positioning MSU to lead in an increasingly competitive landscape. This initiative reflects our commitment to modernize our athletics program and I look forward to seeing the impact it will have on Spartans today and for generations to come.”

Seton Hill Unveils Plans for Indoor Athletics Facility 

Seton Hill University is looking to develop a new indoor athletic facility on its Greensburg campus and is planning to partner with the Latrobe Industrial Development Authority to help finance the project.

The authority has scheduled a special meeting at 4 p.m. Thursday at Latrobe City Hall to review the project plans and to consider a related 2026 bond issue of up to $37.5 million.

The financing also would assist with an extensive renovation of Seton Hill’s Sullivan Hall, which dates from 1929.

The university is planning to build the 87,000-square-foot athletic facility on an open plot of land overlooking the Griffins softball field.

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) announced today three world-class luxury suite offerings – the Founder Suites, Signature Suites, and Executive Suites – set to debut at the brand-new arena in downtown Washington, D.C., ahead of the 2026–27 season. As part of the transformative three-year, $800+ million investment in the arena, every suite inside the venue will be completely reimagined and rebuilt around modern, hospitality-driven design principles.  

The new Founder Suites, Signature Suites, and Executive Suites will provide exclusive access to all of the arena’s premier sports, music, and cultural events. A completely redesigned premium entry experience at the arena will feature four new VIP entrances, private elevators and escalators for suite holders, expanded parking options, and a full-service concierge team. Each suite will also include a customized culinary experience curated for every event by Aramark Sports + Entertainment, Capital One Arena’s exclusive food and beverage partner, as well as access to more than 30 rentable spaces at the arena’s new Lofts & Conference Center during business hours.
