West Virginia Announces New Press Box, Premium Seating for 2028 Season
Designed to elevate the college football fan experience, West Virginia University's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has formally released information on the construction of a new premium seating tower and press box on the west side of Milan Puskar Stadium.
Focused on delivering a wider range of modern, premium experiences, the West Tower will offer unique seating and hospitality options that meet the expectations of today's fans and provide much needed revenues to support WVU's athletic programs.
Launching today, the website WVUSports.com/MPSNext is designed to educate, inform and update on the progress and what to expect before and during construction on the new West Tower. The website contains design visuals, a FAQ section, premium space information about each level in the Tower and an interest form for fans thinking of purchasing and being a part of WVU's new premium addition.
Batavia City School District Cuts Ribbon on New Athletics Facility
The Batavia City School District held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially celebrate the completion and opening of their new Athletic Facility. The project was part of the district’s voter approved capital improvement project and highlights the enhanced opportunities the facility will provide to student-athletes and the community.
JV Soccer, JV Baseball, and Varsity Softball will play on the new fields.
Tuscaloosa Academy Breaks Ground on New Mayers Athletic Center
A new era of athletics is taking shape at Tuscaloosa Academy. Ground was officially broken in May 2026 on the future Mayers Athletic Center, a 23,000-square-foot facility designed to expand opportunities for Knights athletes and enrich the student experience for years to come.
The $7 million project was fueled by the generosity of the TA community, with more than $5.1 million already committed through the school’s capital campaign, including a transformational $1 million gift from a local businessman, Ric Mayers and his wife, Chloé. In recognition of that generosity, the school will proudly name its new athletic center after the Mayers family.
With construction expected to take roughly a year, the vision is quickly moving from a campaign promise to a landmark that will soon become part of everyday life at TA. With an official email last week from Beckie Share, The Head of School, TA families and donors were told that the construction project is finally beginning, and now, you can see it.
