Colorado State Reveals $220M Football Stadium

Athletic department officials, players and reporters were on hand for a sneak preview of the new on-campus football stadium at Colorado State University.

The $220 million project features amenities for both fans and student-athletes, including seating for 36,500 fans, an open-air concourse, a high-definition video board, a weight room, athletic training space, a new locker room, and team lounge and meeting space.

“In many ways, we probably built the best stadium in America,” CSU athletic director Joe Parker told the Denver Post.

The $220 million project will host the first game of the 2017 college football season on Aug. 26, when Colorado State welcomes Oregon State. The public will be able to check out the stadium a day early as part of CSU’s Community Open House.
