Oregon State University revealed plans to remodel the P. Wayne Valley Sports Performance Center. The facility serves as the primary weight room for the football team and other sports. The $3.5 million project will include new weight equipment, rebranding, new lighting and new flooring, as well as several folding glass doors that will allow easy access from the weight room to the practice field. The project is expected to take about four months to complete, and is slated to start in early summer. — OregonLive.com

The University of Minnesota’s Maturi Pavilion, home to the school’s volleyball team, is set to receive a significant upgrade prior to the start of the 2019 season. Planned upgrades include a renovated lower level that will feature direct access from the competition court to strength training, sports medicine, a nutrition station and hydrotherapy pools, as well as renovated lounge and locker room space. The upper level will include offices and meeting rooms for coaching staff, and a remodeled club room that will create new premium fan seating. Brown University announced plans to build a new complex for soccer and lacrosse. Plans call for a three-story, 22,500-square-foot facility to be designed by Boston-based Architectural Resources Cambridge. The new facility will reportedly feature locker rooms, team meeting spaces, coaches’ offices, a new scoreboard, new grandstand, and restroom and concessions spaces. — Brown Daily Herald
