The fieldhouse-concept facility, currently called the Baylor Basketball Pavilion, will feature a capacity of 7,000-7,500, a new state-of-the-art practice facility, separate locker rooms, practice gyms, team lounges and office suites, and shared sports medicine and athletic performance space. The new facility will allow for the menās and womenās basketball programs to relocate, freeing up space in the Ferrell Center and allowing for that facility to undergo a renovation and improvement project of its own.
The Ferrell Center will primarily host the volleyball and acrobatics and tumbling programs. The facility will undergo a $20 million renovation once the basketball project is complete.
