A 7.1 magnitude earthquake Saturday shook cities hundreds of miles apart and rocked some sports events, including an MLB game that continued through the rumbling.
Friday’s quake hit Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, but didn’t appear to shake the players as the Dodgers and Padres played on.

In Las Vegas, the NBA’s Summer League is underway — but play between the New York Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans was stopped as the quake struck, causing the center-hung video display began to sway.

The game did not resume, and other Summer League games featuring the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic were canceled, according to Yahoo Sports. A WNBA game between the Las Vegas Aces and Washington Mystics was reportedly postponed.
Summer League games resumed on Saturday, after league officials and structural engineers found that the Vegas arenas were safe to play in, according to ESPN.
The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that the earthquake did not damage the new Raiders stadium under construction in Las Vegas. An independent firm reportedly inspected the structure, and found no damage.
