Rider University received a $1 million gift to help fund improvements at Alumni Gym. The donation will add chair-back seating to one side of the arena, add bleacher seating and a row of court-side seating on the opposite side, and add walkway tunnels for improved traffic flow. The facility will see more upgrades in the future, including an expanded lobby, a new center-hung scoreboard display and more seating options. — rider.edu

Texas A&M University-Commerce recently revealed a new locker room featuring upgraded GearBoss lockers. The facility, designed by Populous Architects, includes the locker room, shower facilities and an equipment storage area, and provides space for coaches to address the entire team at once. — LionAthletics.com

Georgia Tech University this week unveiled a refreshed look for the Zelnak Basketball Center, the practice facility for the men’s and women’s basketball programs. The University of West Alabama recently made changes to Tiger Stadium, installing a new playing surface in the venue that serves football and men’s and women’s soccer. The school also however recently announced new renovations that will begin after the 2020 football season, including plans for a new academic center, two luxury suites, a remodeled press box and chair-back seating. — WTOK.com
