Players hoping for a hot shower at FedEx Field following the Washington Commanders' hosting of the New York Giants Sunday were out of luck.
According to Yahoo Sports, showers in both locker rooms were without hot water, and water pressure was apparently not great.
“We had an equipment failure in the main water heater that provides hot water to the field level locker rooms,” a Commanders official said in a statement, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “We can’t resolve the matter without completely shutting off the water to the stadium, which is why it couldn’t be repaired in game.”
Problems at FedEx Field comes in the wake of the Commanders being sold by former owner Dan Snyder this year for $6.05 billion.
