The Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers played part of their game Sunday in Cincinnati without a working scoreboard clock.

Paycor Stadium's clocks stopped working during the second quarter of Sunday's NFL Week 12 game.

The time was also not visible during the CBS broadcast, Cincinnati.com reported. The scoreboard and ribbon board game clocks malfunctioned and were shut off for several minutes.

"They are keeping the clock on the field," CBS play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle said, as reported by Cincinnati.com. "The clocks in the stadium aren't operating."

"There is an official on the field who is kind of the backup game-clock operator throughout the entire contest," CBS rules analyst Gene Steratore said. "The side judge, in this case No. 36 Anthony Jeffries. He keeps the time of the game always on the field, and real time as well with a watch that he has attached to him. ... He will continuously alert the teams … as to how much time is remaining in the half."

When official Brad Rogers announced the 2-minute warning, Eagle said, "Well thanks! Thanks for telling us!"

The clocks appeared to start working again after the commercial break that followed the 2-minute warning, Cincinnati.com reported.

"Congratulations, and thank you to everyone who got that done (fixing the clocks)," CBS analyst Charles Davis said.
