Despite get-in tickets being resold for less than $1, the Carolina Panthers' Bank of America Stadium remained a ghost town for Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
With just four weeks to go in the regular season, the Panthers sat at an NFL-worst 1-12 heading into Sunday's game, and fans seem to be expressing their frustration by staying away.
While the Panthers announced an attendance of 70,000, images of the game showed Bank of America sparsely populated. Tickets for Sunday's game were going for shockingly low prices on the second-hand market. Some on social media said tickets were available for 45 cents.
The account @KeepBlitzin posted to X that a stadium worker said the actual attendance was 5,200. Bank of America has a capacity of 75,000.
