Cleveland Browns Chief Operating Officer Dave Jenkins sent a letter to Browns season ticket holders addressing the team's stadium future on Wednesday. Although the letter did not say a final decision was made, it was the most clear explanation from the team regarding the vision it holds for a potential domed stadium in Brook Park.
The letter, a copy of which the Beacon Journal has obtained, comes less than week after the city of Cleveland and Mayor Justin Bibb made a proposal to the Haslam Sports Group, run by Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam, for a potential renovation to Cleveland Browns Stadium. The city's proposal pledged $461 million to what has been projected to be a roughly $1 billion project to renovate the current lakefront stadium, which Jenkins' letter said the organization has "requested additional information" about from city officials.
