January 29, 2018, (Cohoes, NY) Aquatic Development Group (ADG), has begun construction on a new state-of-the-art indoor waterpark in the Catskill region of Upstate New York. The Kartrite Hotel & Indoor Waterpark is being built on the Resorts World Catskills campus located in the Town of Thompson, N.Y. Scheduled to open in early 2019, The Kartrite will feature two acres of exhilarating four-season indoor waterpark space and a luxury hotel with 324 exquisitely designed guest suites.
The $150 million plus Kartrite Hotel & Indoor Waterpark will span over 430,000 sqft and will house an indoor waterpark that will feature a wide variety of family-focused rides and attractions available only to guests of the hotel.
ADG has designed the Kartrite indoor waterpark with a unique upscale, tropical flare that is reflected through an abundance of premium deck space, cabanas, and copious amount of lush landscaping, all underneath a state-of-the-art, barrell-shaped Texlon® transparent roof that will ensure a balmy 80 degrees every day of the year - which will be especially appealing in the middle of those Upstate New York winters!
Highlights of the many water park attractions include a FlowRider®, lazy river, activity kid’s pool & multi-level play structure, five waterslides from ProSlide, and a Mezzanine with a bar and grill.
