Tomorrow, TMPL, a brand new 40,000-square-foot gym by David Barton, opens the first Les Mills IMMERSIVE FITNESS™ spin studio in New York City. The one-of-a-kind gym will feature a 360-degree immersive cycling class calledTHE TRIP and the brand new LES MILLS SPRINT, a high-intensity cycling class.
THE TRIP: THE TRIP, an IMMERSIVE FITNESS program, adds a rich visual layer to music and groupexercise. Cinema quality video content is projected onto the screen of a purpose-built studio, while an instructor cues exercise moves that synchronize perfectly with music and graphics. Riders in a cycle class get the sensation of ascending steep glaciers, sprinting around digital velodromes or cruising into a peaceful sunset. The immersive experience creates a heightened sense of anticipation and reward for participants that leads to increased motivation and energy. This is the first IMMERSIVE FITNESS studio to open on the East Coast.
LES MILLS SPRINT: A 30-minute indoor cycle program built on the science of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). Watch a video about LES MILLS SPRINT here. During this HIIT workout, participants spend 20 minutes of the 30-minute class at 85 percent of maximum heart rate or higher. Benefits of LES MILLS SPRINT include:
