BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – March 22, 2016 – Octane Fitness, a Nautilus®, Inc. (NYSE:NLS) brand, is generating huge buzz among health club personnel with its official launch of the new commercial Zero Runner today at Booth #3425 at the 35th annual International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) Convention and Trade Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

This unprecedented product reinvents walking, jogging or running by eliminating repetitive, stressful impact on the body – unlike a treadmill. Plus, without a belt, deck or motor, the Zero Runner also eliminates the high costs of treadmill operation, maintenance and service. Approximately 500 convention attendees witnessed the dramatic launch of the Zero Runner to music and video at a packed party last night at BB King’s Blues Club in Orlando.

“The initial response to the commercial Zero Runner has been off the charts, and we are thrilled that this innovative machine will transform cardio floors worldwide by enabling virtually anyone to comfortably walk, jog and run,” said Tim Porth, vice president, product development, commercial and specialty at Octane. “Plus, the Zero Runner frees fitness facilities from the multiple expenses that treadmills incur.”

Zero-Impact Running™

Independent hip and knee joints on the Zero Runner facilitate natural motion – from walking, jogging, hill work and all-out running with a stride length up to 58 inches – with no impact on the body.

Zero Runner exercisers can replicate the same strides they use outdoors, focusing more on their glutes and hamstrings than they can on a treadmill’s moving belt. Valuable stride tracing technology (smart console only) enables users to monitor their stride throughout for stronger form, and contoured handles support proper upright posture.

A variety of workout programs include interval training, distance goals and CROSS CiRCUIT®, which combines intervals on the Zero Runner with strength and stretching exercises off the machine for greater overall conditioning. Clubs can use CROSS CiRCUIT for novel one-on-one training sessions or small group training.

The self-powered (standard console only), quiet Zero Runner is priced beginning at $8,399 MSRP in the U.S. and is available in June 2016. For more information, visit www.zerorunner.com.

New Schwinn Airdyne Coming to Specialty Retail and Commercial Facilities

Now part of the Nautilus family of brands, Octane Fitness will begin offering the legendary Schwinn Airdyne Pro bike to consumers and vertical customers via its network of specialty fitness retailers worldwide; and to commercial customers via direct sales. A perennial favorite with a long heritage dating back to the 1970s, the new Airdyne has been brought into the 21 century and features refined fan technology for greater challenges to meet the needs of and drive results for today’s exercisers.

The custom-designed 26-blade performance fan, combined with a single-stage belt drive and a unique inertia system, deliver smooth motion; infinite resistance; efficient energy transfer; and quick transitions for low-impact, total-body workouts for everyone from beginners to elite athletes. Exercisers completely control the resistance level with their pace, and can choose from leisurely rides to rigorous high-intensity interval training programs, such as 20/10 Interval, 30/90 Interval and custom regimens.

MultiGrip handlebars provide several comfortable positions for the hands, and anti-slip foot pegs can be used to periodically isolate the upper body for variety. A motivating tachometer on the console visually signals how hard exercisers are working and challenges them to bury the needle. The self-powered Airdyne Pro also features unique calibration technology for accurate data feedback.

Built with Schwinn’s trademark quality and a moisture-repellant frame to withstand the toughest workouts, year after year, the Airdyne Pro is a perfect fit for cardio floors, in small group training, in functional training workouts and at specialty fitness studios.

Priced at $1299 MSRP in the U.S., the consumer Airdyne Pro will be available at Octane’s network of specialty fitness retailers in April, and commercially in Q4 2016. For more information, visitwww.octanefitness.com.
