Minneapolis, Minnesota – May 9, 2016 – UBU Sports®, the premier provider of synthetic turf systems that optimize performance and maximize safety, is proud to announce that installation of the UBU-Speed Series-S5-M has begun today at U.S. Bank Stadium, the new home of the Minnesota Vikings and the site of the 2018 NFL Super Bowl. The Vikings currently practice on the same UBU Sports surface at their Winter Park facility in Eden Prairie, Minn.
The Vikings are the fifth NFL team to trust UBU Sports for their stadium surface. UBU Sports is the stadium surface provider to the New York Giants, New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals and New Orleans Saints as well. The UBU-Speed Series-S5-M is also the chosen practice surface for the Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears.

U.S. Bank Stadium has a seating capacity of 66,200 and features a transparent ETFE roof, the world’s largest pivoting glass doors and an entire glass wall overlooking downtown Minneapolis. The Vikings will play their first regular season home game at U.S. Bank Stadium on September 18 when they face division-rival Green Bay.
The UBU-Speed Series-S5-M will feature UBU-4K coloration and incorporate a Removable Active Panel (RAP) system. “Today’s stadiums require the versatility to host a dynamic number of events” says Nicholls. “The UBU RAP System is the professional solution for stadiums to accomplish their event conversion demands.”
