Kansas State Football Facilities to Receive New Video Display from Daktronics

Bill Snyder Stadium to also use the display for soccer and other events

BROOKINGS, S.D. – June 7, 2016 â€“ Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, announces a partnership with Kansas State University to design, manufacture and install a new LED video display for the northeast corner of the stadium as well as field-level entrance ribbons to compliment the northwest video display installed last year. These displays will energize Wildcats fans during events at Bill Snyder Stadium after installation is completed this summer.

“K-State Athletics is happy to partner with Daktronics on new Carl and Mary Ice Family Video northeast video board at Bill Snyder Family Stadium," said John Currie, athletics director for Kansas State University. "We can’t wait for our fans to see this newest enhancement to The Best Fan Experience in the Big 12 when we open the 2016 season in front of our 28th consecutive sellout crowd."

The new video display will measure approximately 38 feet high by 67 feet wide and be placed at the northeast corner of the stadium. There will also be two ribbon displays installed in the field-level team entrances to help enhance the fan entertainment. All new displays will feature a 13HD pixel layout for excellent image quality and contrast with wide angle visibility to appeal to every seat in the stadium.

The display features variable content zoning which allows it to show one large image across the entire display or to show multiple zones. In those multiple zones, it can show any combination of live video, instant replays, scoring and statistic information, animations, and sponsor advertisements.

“We are very excited and humbled be able to continue our partnership with Kansas State for this new northeast video display project,” said Ryan Kuzman, Daktronics Sales Representative. “Bill Snyder Family Stadium is a one-of-a-kind venue and we are confident these new displays will greatly enhance the already outstanding experience for K-State fans’ for many years to come.”

Elsewhere on campus, Daktronics is currently installing standard scoreboards for baseball and soccer. Each scoreboard will feature the appropriate stats for each sport. Soccer will include score, time left and shots on goal while baseball will have runs, hits, errors, inning and outs.

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology offers a long lifetime with consistent, industry-leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
