Scoreboard and game clocks included in the installation

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Sept 13, 2016 – Campbell University football and lacrosse fans have another reason to be excited when their seasons begin this fall as the school has turned to Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to install a new LED video display at Barker-Lane Stadium in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

“These new video boards at Barker-Lane Stadium and Gore Arena were some of the final pieces identified several years ago to add to our fan experience,” said Campbell University Athletics Director Bob Roller. “The video board at Gore Arena has completely transformed that experience and we are confident this new board at Barker-Lane will have the same effect. Students and fans expect an interactive experience at today’s events and they now will have it. Campbell alums, supporters and our very strong team of corporate partners deserve all the credit for making these improvements happen!”

The new display measures 24 feet high by 42 feet wide with a 15HD pixel layout to provide excellent image clarity and contrast at wide viewing angles for the best view from any seat within the stadium.

Capable of variable content zoning, the display can show one large image or it can be divided into multiple windows to show any combination of live video, instant replays, game statistics and information, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.

“We’re excited to provide Campbell University with such a great video solution to further enhance the fan experience at Barker-Lane Stadium,” said Corey Williams, Daktronics sales representative. “We’re looking forward to seeing it in action this week when the Fighting Camels take the field to kick off their football season.”

Included in the installation are two delay-of-game clocks and one fixed-digit scoreboard to show score, quarter, game time remaining and other information fans expect at every game.

Earlier in 2016, Daktronics installed an LED video display system for Campbell University at Gilbert Craig Gore Arena inside the John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center on campus for basketball and other sports and events held at the venue.

Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology features industry-leading environmental protection for a long lifetime with consistent performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
