RICHMOND, VA - (October 24, 2016) – Richmond Region Tourism is pleased to welcome John Collins (J.C.) Poma to the role of Sports Development Manager. Poma will focus on attracting sports events to the Richmond Region. “I’m thrilled to join Richmond Region Tourism and community partners in working to bring new sports events to the area,” said Poma. “As a lifelong resident, it’s exciting to help move the region forward and build upon the success of recent sports events held in the Richmond Region.”
“J.C. has a unique combination of hospitality industry experience and experience in the sports world that will serve him well in the role of Sports Development Manager,” said Kristin McGrath, Richmond Region Tourism Vice President of Sales and Services.
Poma’s background includes stints at TEAM Coalition as their Event Manager, and as the Sales Manager at Richmond’s Arena Racing USA.
