New York, NY, – UFC GYM® today announced that it will offer self-empowerment seminars on Saturday, November 12 at UFC GYM – SoHo in New York. Located at 227 Canal Street, the SoHo gym will host two seminars, in conjunction with Safe Horizon, from 9 – 11 a.m. and from 12 – 2 p.m. prior to UFC’s historicUFC® 205: ALVAREZ vs. McGREGOR at Madison Square Garden.
Through these seminars, UFC GYM will provide the tools to enhance men, women and children’s personal confidence by teaching free self-defense techniques and self-awareness skills. Those who access services at Safe Horizon will be extended a special invite to empower themselves with these important skills.
“UFC GYM’s mission is to maximize each person’s human potential and we feel this new partnership is another positive step towards reaching that particular goal,” UFC GYM Chief Executive Officer Brent Leffel said. “Positive reinforcement is a key component to elevating someone’s self-esteem and empowering them to believe anything is possible. We can’t wait to work with Safe Horizon and create paths of hope to all those impacted and in need of compassionate support.”
“Safe Horizon is dedicated to empowering individuals to rebuild and find renewed confidence after experiencing some of the most difficult times of their lives,” Safe Horizon Chief Development Officer Eddie Pelto said. “These seminars offered by UFC GYM can go a long way to helping our clients find their inner strength.”
Both seminars will be led by Rob McCullough, UFC GYM Senior Director of Mixed Martial Arts. Each participant will go through UFC GYM’s signature strength and conditioning, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and boxing / kickboxing programs followed by a question and answer session.
Since debuting in 2009, UFC GYM has opened more than 135 locations throughout the United States, Australia, Canada, South America, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates. The fitness franchise has continued to grow at a rapid pace with more than 50 locations opening in the past two years and over 50 gyms expected to open in the next year.
Due to limited spacing, please contact UFC GYM SoHo at 212-858-9880 or visit the gym in advance to sign up for the seminars. Along with the two seminars, UFC GYM will host a dinner at The Roosevelt Hotel on Thursday, November 10, at 7 p.m. The dinner will also include a silent auction, with proceeds benefitting Safe Horizon.
