Former ESPN and Silver Chalice Ventures Executives Join the Ranks to Lead Growth

LOS ANGELES – Nov. 30, 2016 – Virtual reality (VR) production company, MANDT VR, today announced top talent from the sports media world added to its executive team. Lawton Logan, a high-profile executive for various global sports and media companies, has joined MANDT VR through The Whitener Company holding entity as chief revenue officer, and Crowley Sullivan, a veteran media executive and award-winning producer, serves as executive vice president of planning and general manager of sports and entertainment.

In addition to his Whitener Company role, Lawton will serve as chief revenue officer for MANDT VR, responsible for aligning and optimizing the company while overseeing revenue generation processes. Prior to joining MANDT VR, Lawton was the chief revenue and marketing officer of Silver Chalice, a digital sports media company incubated out of the Chicago White Sox organization. Lawton’s experience also includes his time at IMG, as senior vice president of U.S. business development. He was responsible for development activities across IMG's businesses in North America including: fashion, tennis, golf, talent and media, as well as all sponsorship sales, marketing and strategic partnerships for IMG College.

Leading the charge for MANDT VR’s sports content, Crowley Sullivan brings his deep sports media knowledge and breadth of experience to the company. Before joining MANDT VR, Crowley was the executive vice president and general manager of Campus Insiders. During his tenure there, he helped spearhead the growth of the platform from the ground up, developing content creation initiatives and partnerships with conferences including: Mountain West, Atlantic 10, West Coast Conference, Patriot League, Conference USA and Big 12. Prior to Campus Insiders, Crowley served as the vice president of programming and acquisitions for ESPN Classic and ESPNEWS and played a key role in the early development of ESPN Original Entertainment where he contributed to the creation of such programming initiatives as “Pardon The Interruption,” “Around The Horn” as well as ESPN’s foray into filmmaking with projects such as “A Season On The Brink.”

“Virtual reality is revolutionizing sports by allowing the fan experience to become much more compelling in nearly every way. Obstacles like cost, distance and time will no longer impede fans who can experience each event as if they’ve got the best seat in the stadium,” said Neil Mandt, founder and CEO of MANDT VR. “Immersive technology is already transforming the sports industry, and with Lawton and Crowley at the helm of MANDT VR’s sports content, they’ll help the advancement of the medium, and usher in fully immersive viewing as the new way people choose to consume sports.”
