Training bike used by Olympic champions rolls out to Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts

MCLEAN, Va. - Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) today announced a partnership with cycling innovator Wattbike that will see the performance indoor bike rolled out to luxury hotels across the Americas. From mid-January, guests using the fitness center at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts in the Americas will have the option to meet their fitness goals using the world's leading indoor training tool.

"No matter how determined people are about making healthy decisions while at home, the ability to replicate those choices are often not as accessible as they should be while traveling," said Ryan Crabbe, Senior Director, Global Wellness at Hilton. "This partnership is just one of many that Hilton will announce in 2017 that modernizes the hotel fitness experience through inclusive, best-in-class offerings that support and inspire guests to achieve their health and happiness goals."

"Wattbike has revolutionized indoor cycling and become the training bike of choice for cycling champions and professional conditioning athletes around the world. We're delighted our guests at Waldorf Astoria and Conrad can now enjoy the world's most highly engineered training bike, just like Olympic cyclists and other athletes training for legendary events," said Mr. Crabbe.

Many bikes today focus largely on delivering social or digital experiences, yet Wattbike offers an open digital platform. Users can access workouts from anywhere ranging from set training plans to YouTube, then save accurate and in-depth data to analyze later. Users can also sync to the Wattbike Hub app or popular fitness apps including Garmin and Strava as well as popular motivational and gaming programs such as Sufferfest, Zwift or TrainerRoad.

The indoor bikes are safe and accessible for both occasional cyclists and regular riders, offering an incredibly enjoyable experience for users of all fitness levels.

"Vastly different to a traditional stationary or spinning bike, Wattbike replicates the smooth feel of the road or what we call Real Ride Feel (RRF)," said Richard Baker, managing director of consumer business at Wattbike. "This makes it a smooth and comfortable ride ideal for beginners who want to improve their general fitness through to the most elite athlete."

Wattbike was developed in consultation with British Cycling and has since become the first static bike endorsed by the national governing body for cycling in Great Britain. At the London 2012 Olympics, 29 of the 30 track cycling medals were won by teams using Wattbike as part of their preparation.
