Teamworks to Streamline Communication and Modernize Experience for Tournament Staff and Participating Teams

DURHAM, NC – [Thursday, January 19, 2017] – Teamworks, the leading provider of collaboration and communication software for athletic organizations, is pleased to announce it will provide collaboration software for the 2017 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship.  NCAA tournament and regional game-site staff as well as the 64 participating teams, their representatives and game officials will utilize Teamworks’ platforms. Teamworks was also selected as the provider to the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, which accentuates the NCAA’s efforts to more widely adopt mobile communication at its events.

Throughout the NCAA basketball championships, staff and teams will utilize many of Teamworks’ time-saving management solutions.  Teamworks will facilitate tournament information and allow it to be easily shared with NCAA staff and teams.  Information will also be immediately accessible for teams through the mobile application.  Teams will be able to electronically fill out required forms, rather than having to physically submit or scan paperwork.  The process will alleviate teams from repeatedly having to complete tournament documents as they advance throughout the tournament.

“As a proud provider of communication software to athletic departments throughout the nation, we look forward to continuing to extend our platform to postseason tournaments and championships,” said Teamworks Founder and President, Zach Maurides.  “March is an exciting, but busy, time for college basketball and we are thrilled to give the NCAA and participating teams the confidence to compete without distraction.”

Teamworks continues to gain notable postseason experience working with the NCAA. Teamworks has more than 850 clients, including over 375 NCAA Division I programs; more than 70 Football Bowl Subdivision programs at nearly 50 Power5 institutions; as well as many prestigious athletic departments including Texas, Duke, Purdue, Virginia, Baylor, Texas A&M and Ole Miss department-wide; the Big Ten Conference, the Mountain West Conference; the San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Nationals, and San Francisco Giants.  The software also mobilizes communication for various sports related entities including adidas Team Sales.
