Silver Spring, MD, June 20, 2017 – The Sports & Fitness Industry Association (SFIA) announces today the launch of the inaugural Innovative Product Showcase at the 2017 Industry Leaders Summit. The product showcase will give companies attending the summit the opportunity to display new and innovative products that have recently come to market, or are set to be released in 2017. A select number of curated products will be presented in a ‘museum-like’ format. Eligible products include equipment, footwear, apparel, protective, headgear and licensed.
Guidelines for companies to enter their products for consideration are:

Guidelines for companies to enter their products for consideration are:
- Products will be displayed at SFIA’s Board of Directors Reception
- Items will have one place card to describe product
- Products will stand alone in showcase, company representatives cannot stand beside their product
- All summit attendees (members and non-members) are welcome to submit their products for consideration
- SFIA Member companies may submit products for consideration free of cost. Non-member company products will pay fee ($5,000) if selected for inclusion
- Industry experts will vet and select the products included for display
“SFIA is thrilled to launch the Innovative Product Showcase at our Industry Leaders Summit and give those attending the opportunity to see the newest sports & fitness products and gear,” said Tom Cove, President & CEO, SFIA. “We heard when we launched the ‘Start-Up’ Challenge last year an intense interest in seeing tangible products. These products always highlight and generate buzz around the creativity in our industry.”

SFIA’s annual ILS brings more than 200 C-level executives from across the sports and fitness industry together to examine an assortment of issues surrounding their businesses and the economy. The 2017 ILS will be held September 13-14 at the Drake Hotel in Chicago. Last year’s list of attending companies includes, adidas, Life Fitness, Mizuno, Nike, Speedo, and Under Armour.
