Relationship created to expand skill development impact for Factory Athletics players through training with advanced technology from Pocket Radar
July 31, 2017 (Santa Rosa, CA and Columbia, MD) – Factory Athletics is proud to announce the renewal of their partnership with Pocket Radar Inc., a technology company that makes pro-level speed measurement and velocity insights accessible for all levels.
Pocket Radar has been named as the Official Radar Provider of Factory Athletics and will be integrated into all Factory Athletics events across the nation. At the majority of events, Factory Athletics will use the Ball Coach radar to capture player data for use in evaluation and training. This data will be provided directly to players, parents and coaches to give them a framework for where they stand nationwide and how to continue their on-field success. Factory Athletics will also use their Pro Radar System at select events to highlight pitcher velocity, exit velocity and position player arm strength.
“We are very excited to continue delivering our players with advanced metrics from Pocket Radar,” said Jason Budden, SVP of Marketing & Brand at Factory Athletics. “The Ball Coach radar and the Pro Radar System have been key components of our scouting and player development efforts. With over 600 events nationwide, we rely on Pocket Radar’s technology to capture data and use that information to provide direct feedback to our players.”
Pocket Radar’s advanced product line, including the pocket-sized Ball Coach™ sports radar and the new Pro Radar System with Smart Display, are used to train with immediate objective feedback by everyone from MLB coaches to youth sports athletes. By making crucial results like hitting power, pitching speeds, throwing speeds, serving speeds and more instantly visible, training with Pocket Radar technology helps athletes get better faster.
“We’re excited to be working with Factory Athletics to continue the incorporation of our award-winning technology into all of their training programs nationwide,” said Steve Goody, CEO and co-founder of Pocket Radar, Inc. “Athletes will now have the added advantage of world-class coaching and pro-level training equipment, combined.”
Together, Pocket Radar and Factory Athletics will reach thousands of serious baseball, softball and volleyball players through numerous grassroots efforts. This will include the promotion of the Pocket Radar Top Exit Velocity on the Baseball Factory web site, showing the best exit velocities recorded at Baseball Factory events. Factory Athletics will help to promote and sell Pocket Radar’s Ball Coach and Pro Radar System models through events, online and the company’s various digital and social media platforms.
