Performance Tracking Software Introduces Automated Class Management Features
ATLANTA (Oct 12, 2017) — As the popularity and demand for group fitness classes continues to rise, large format health clubs and boutique studios alike are faced with operational challenges regarding internal scheduling and class management. This month, fitness tech company, FitMetrix, launched its new group and class management functionality to their software platform to combat the growing pains and challenges associated with managing additional club offerings.
“While the rise in popularity of these group classes is amazing for building a community within the gym and encouraging members to reach their fitness goals, it creates a burden on the staff from an operational standpoint,” says FitMetrix cofounder and CTO, Josh Lloyd. “Our platform’s new functionality addresses that build-up of work by streamlining internal processes and allowing for gyms to more effectively manage staff scheduling and communications.”
The group and class management functionality introduces a new service to the company’s signature scheduling technology, which is provided through the comfort of a gym’s app or website powered by FitMetrix.
By streamlining internal processes, health clubs also can supply their staff with a user-friendly platform to manage individual scheduling and class substitutions. This further automation of communications creates a smoother process within the gym and allows for health clubs to shift their focus onto member engagement.
“This new functionality brings the entire experience full circle,” says CEO and cofounder, Monica Dioda. “Operationally, the gym is able to streamline instructor substitutions and internal communications, while users are able to receive tailored notifications, including if a favorite instructor picked up a second class for the week.”
