Minneapolis (Jan. 16, 2018) – Epoch Lacrosse, a U.S. design and technology company that specializes in lacrosse, proudly announces its partnership with the German Men’s National Lacrosse Team. As a result of the partnership, the athletes will be outfitted with Epoch’s latest gear, including the newest Dragonfly shaft, the Integra protective line and custom gear for the team’s current season and the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championship in Israel. Epoch has worked to understand the dynamics and forces present in the game of lacrosse, which has resulted in the creation of durable, reliable and high-performing products.
“As our brand continues to grow, we continue to connect with more and more high-level teams all over the world, and we’re excited to be working with the German Men’s National Lacrosse team as we expand our global presence,” said James Miceli, principal at Epoch Lacrosse. “Epoch creates some of the most technologically-advanced lacrosse equipment in the industry, and it is an honor to provide Germany’s world-renowned team with our latest shafts and protective gear.”
The German Men’s National Lacrosse Team will be playing with Epoch’s Dragonfly Eight Shaft. The eighth edition of the Dragonfly shaft debuts Surface Veil Technology (SVT), proven to maintain structural integrity, and comes in an exclusive carbon black color with silver decals for all athletes. SVT gives the Dragonfly Eight another layer of added protection through a layer of very thin fabric that is also used in military and aerospace manufacturing, wrapped on the outside of the carbon. When the SVT goes through the manufacturing process, it is heated to become part of the carbon fiber layup which boosts toughness on the field.
"Epoch has a well-documented commitment of bringing quality lacrosse equipment to top level programs, and Team Germany is very excited to partner with them for the next three years,” said Matt Bagley, head of coach of the German Men’s National Team. “The company makes a concerted effort to grow the game globally and support the next generation of players, which was very attractive to us. As we continue to work toward our goals of becoming one of the upper echelon programs in world lacrosse the support of an industry leader like Epoch is of great importance. We are proud to use Epoch’s equipment at the 2018 World Championships, and together, we hope to achieve our goals and have our best tournament in our program’s history.”
The team will also be playing with Epoch’s Integra Protective Line. The Integra Protective Line was created to maximize a player’s feel, design and control during a lacrosse game. The line includes gloves, arm and shoulder pads, and incorporates revolutionary features including Phase Change Technology, Tri-Layer Dual Density Foam Stack and flexible carbon fiber for lightweight, but effective protection.
“The chance to partner with a company like Epoch, that’s at the forefront of high quality lacrosse equipment and innovation in our sport is a tremendous opportunity for the German Men’s National Team program,” said Eric Loomis, manager of the German Men’s National Team. “The support and commitment Epoch has shown to our players and staff and their belief in German Lacrosse has been a wonderful development for our program. We are looking forward to working closely with them in the lead up to the 2018 World Championships and for the next three years.”
